I’m going to first show off the completed-ish James Bond ATC set. These were difficult for me to do mostly because I got tired of drawing small pictures and wanted more room.
Artist Trading Cards are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch cards. I’m pretty sad about how bad these look on the computer. I think they look much better in person. The most difficult faces were Sean Connery’s (top left) and George Lazenby’s (top right). I think I’m going to go over each one again before putting them up for sale. I want to be sure to have them listed by the end of the month.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to do next. I think I’ve figured it out. I want to try illustration and/or watercolor, but still keep it in the portrait department. I love minimal pen and ink portraits but I’ve never really tried it much. I have drawn in pen when sitting at work with nothing to do, but not seriously. I love the look of a pen and ink illustration mixed with watercolor. I have a lot to learn about it, but I’m going to just dive in and try.
I may be crazy for trying something different when I can still use improvement in the pencil drawing department, but the creative juices need to flow!
