I got really antsy to draw a portrait after I completed my third Bargue drawing, which I’ll post about later.

My printer is on the fritz right now so I was digging through old stuff I had printed a while back and came across this picture of Jennifer Aniston. I thought it was a cool picture and I was waiting for my hair drawing skills to improve before attempting it. I don’t think my skills had changed all that much since then, but my confidence has, so I finally gave it a shot.

I love the result, especially on the gray toned paper.

2H-6B pencil, white charcoal pencil, kneaded eraser, tissue, and 10 hours of time.

Keep Drawing!
